BOOKINGS
The Clark Library space, including the grounds, is primarily used for research, teaching, and programming organized by the Clark and the Center for 17th-and-18th-Century Studies. However, with permission of the Director, Head Librarian, and Assistant Director, groups affiliated with UCLA, recognized scholarly societies, and other non-profit and community groups may be granted use of the space for educational, research, and public service purposes.
Departments and centers in the Humanities Division of the UCLA College of Letters and Science have priority in requesting to use space. UCLA student groups may only rent the space for activities thematically in line with the mission of the Clark Library and with the support of an academic department, which assumes responsibility for the rental cost as well as for any damages resulting from the event. With special permission of the Director, the Head Librarian and the Assistant Director, scholarly societies, non-profit organizations, and community groups may be granted use of the space.
Those requesting the use of the library interior should be aware that this is a designated historical site and is used at the discretion of the library administration, which must balance the nature of the proposed activities against the need for protecting the integrity of the buildings, its collections, furnishings, and gardens. Food and drink inside of the library is strictly prohibited.
